Description:

Are you an enthusiastic Band 5 OT wanting to make the move to specialise in Stroke, with support to transition into a Band 6 post?
OR
Are you an experienced OT looking for a Band 6 post, and already meet the attached Band 6 criteria?
If so CCICP is waiting to hear from you…!
You will be part of a motivated and dynamic MDT, including OT, Physio, Speech and Language Therapy, Dietetics, Psychology services, and Therapy assistants. We also work closely alongside Social Work, and the Stroke Association to provide a holistic service to our patients.
We have a robust in-service training programme, access to external training and CPD activities, and promote service development opportunities.
If you are employed in a developmental post, you will receive support to develop your specialist skills, with the expectation that you will reach competency for transition to the Band 6 role after 12 months with the team.
Applicants must have a minimum of 12 months relevant NHS experience.

This is a great opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who shares our passion for good quality, holistic patient care and enthusiasm for ongoing improvements. Working within an integrated MDT to design and deliver our services better together, providing goal focused, person and family centred care to our patients.
You will provide specialist stroke assessment and rehab as part of our ‘ESD’ and longer-term specialist stroke rehab services for up to approx.
4 months following discharge from hospital. This includes a rota’d weekend service in which you will be expected to participate.
The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills to be able to build rapport and provide effective interventions to patients who may present with cognitive or communication difficulties.
You will be able to demonstrate good time management skills to ensure timely intervention and discharge of patients to maintain flow of patients
through the service.
You will be required to see patients in a variety of locations, both their own homes and in care facilities and must be comfortable with the lone
working aspect of the role.
