Responsibilities:
MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
Successful candidates will be employed by NSFT and hosted within the Intensive and Specialist Support Service in Children’s Social Care. Clinical direction and oversight will be provided by NSFT with operational support and case identification being provided by Children’s Social Care.
You will work within the Parental Mental Health Service which has been developed to support children and families who have an allocated Family Practitioner or Family Assessment and Safeguarding Team Social Worker. The service is designed to work with families who need specialist or intensive intervention and support to prevent them from escalating from Family Support to Child Protection or becoming Looked After, and to help children return to their family networks where it is safe to do so.
The post holder will undertake the planning and delivery of direct patient care with appropriate supervision, ensuring continuity of practice and working within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment.
You will be required to provide expertise, support and advice to clinical practitioners regarding all aspects of clinical care including implementing best practise based on evidence-based practice and National Guidance.
