Description:

Applications are invited for a Clinical Teaching Fellow (CTF) in Transplant Surgery with an anticipated start date of 7th August 2024. This post is for one year initially with scope to extend for a further 12 months.
The post is full time, 10 sessions per week compromising of 50% teaching and 50% clinical time. The postholder will work at both the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) and University Hospital Llandough (UHL)
Teaching is a major component of the role and the successful postholder will work closely with the Specialty Lead and undergraduate tutors to deliver evidence based undergraduate education to Cardiff and Swansea University medical students. The successful candidate with have an honorary contract with Cardiff University with the title Honorary Lecturer.
Clinical time will be spent working in Transplant Surgery and the timetable for this period will be agreed to enable to appointee to work a level that is suitable for their stage in training.
The post offers an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking doctor with a strong interest in medical education and support may be available to pursue a postgraduate medical education based qualification
