TE WHIWHINGA MAHI | THE OPPORTUNITY

New Zealand’s largest hospital is looking for a Clinical Team Leader responsible for managing Cardiac Physiologist & Technicians. This is a full-time permanent position available for those adventurous and engaged physiologists wanting to work in a busy, exciting, and diverse environment with a passion and skill for education and training.
This position provides education, leadership, and support for trainees, (technicians and physiologists). You will be responsible for mentoring provisional and qualified staff to enable them to achieve their education goals. You will bring knowledge and expertise in principles of adult learning and an approach that adapts to a variety of learning styles.
We work across a vast range of elective and acute diagnostic and interventional procedures for adult patients as well as providing the only service in NZ for paediatric and ACHD patients. You will be an integral member of the Physiology team and expected to work autonomously in a variety of procedures.

NGA PŪKENGA MOTUHAKE | IMPORTANT SKILLS

A suitable applicant for this position will have;

• A tertiary qualification relevant to this role
• Your qualifications must enable you to be registered with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB)
• A minimum of ten years post-qualification experience in Cardiac Physiology
• A demonstrable track record as a self-motivated, conscientious leader with a strong clinical and consumer focus
• Excellent communication and operational management skills
• A commitment to biculturalism and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
• Experience in Clinical leadership and ability to work at an advanced clinical Level of Practice.

• Working collaboratively with other Clinical Team Leaders and supporting the Head of Department of

Cardiac Physiology

• Mentoring, coaching staff, and managing staff performance
• Promoting an integrated approach to care that is patient-centered in partnership with a multidisciplinary

team
