Looking for a new challenge working in mental health care?
The Welland Centre has 2 Band 6 Clinical Team Leader vacancies. One is on Shearwater Ward which is our 7 bedded female psychiatric intensive care unit, the other is on Sandpiper Ward which is our 16 bedded Female ward.
Both wards are looking for an individual who can demonstrate leadership skills and has a genuine interest and desire to support females who are in need of specialist support to move forward with their care. We require staff that are compassionate and empathetic to the needs of our service users and carers.
As a 24-hour service, the successful candidate will be expected to work shifts including weekends, bank holidays and night duties.
This role involves holding allocated CTL (Clinical Team Leader) role for St Marys inpatient services as required.
There is a strong emphasis on a multi-disciplinary approach to care, which is highly focused on service user needs; therefore, team working, and effective communication skills are essential.
There are four key responsibilities of the Clinical Team Leader:
Leadership Management
Practice and Service Development
Education and Training
Communication
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be highly motivated with a positive person-centred approach, as well as being able to motivate and develop others. Other skills required for the role are to be reliable and have resilience to working in a busy and at times stressful environment. The ability to undertake full Teamwork training annually is essential.
