Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for the Intensive support clinical team manager role. There is the opportunity for this to be a permanent post or for 1 year secondment role.
The East London Intensive Support Team will provide a 7 day a week urgent and intensive community response, including in-reach to inpatient environments, for people with Learning Disabilities with additional mental health needs and/or behaviours that services perceive to be challenging, that result in the person posing a risk to themselves or others.
This is a newly established service and the Clinical Team Manager will be responsible for developing and clearly communicating the vision of the service. You will lead on recruitment, developing operational policies and procedures and be responsible for raising the profile and ensuring access to this new service across the three inner east London boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and City and Hackney.
The Clinical Team Manager will provide clear leadership and management responsibility for the effective delivery of this multidisciplinary service. You will work across multiple complex systems including community Learning Disability services, mental health services, inpatient services, and with local authorities and commissioners to deliver the Trust’s vision and a high-quality, effective and person-centred service.
The Clinical Team Manager will have overall management responsibility for Intensive Support Team and its collaboration with and work across multiple boroughs and their respective Learning Disability, Mental Health and Social Care services. You will work with People Participation for a co-developed and co-evaluated service.
You will provide clear leadership and take management responsibility for the effective delivery of the multi-disciplinary services carried out by the team: being responsible for the day-to-day operational functioning of the service, and being accountable for its performance. You will provide managerial and, where appropriate to professional background, clinical supervision to the members of the team.
The management role will involve setting objectives in line with strategic developments within Mental Health services, ensuring the monitoring and auditing of effective evidence based practice within the team, which will reflect both local and national requirements.
You will receive regular constructive supervision and opportunities for professional learning and development.
Our mission is to make a positive difference to people’s lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations
