Job description
To act as Clinical Trials Finance Officer within KHP-CTO, providing efficient and effective all round Finance function for Trial Investigators, Research/Support teams, Sponsors/CRO involved or engaged in conducting commercial clinical trials within the Partner Institutions.
To support the Senior Clinical Trials Finance Associate in the delivery of daily, weekly, Monthly and year-end processes.
The Post holder is expected to have all round experience in Sales ledger, Invoicing, Income distribution, Reporting, and other finance processes.
The post holder is involved in the preparation of Invoicing activities, Sales ledger activities, Income distribution activities as well as reporting on behalf of the partner organisations in accordance with KHP-CTO policy, and contributing to the development of existing policy and processes.
The post holder is expected to work independently and with minimum supervision.
This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.
Key responsibilities
To support in the swift and efficient management of the invoicing and distribution of income generated
To support in the smallest possible commercial research debt, and contributing to all processes and procedures relating to Sales ledger and debt management
To support in Producing regular reports and generate data, enabling senior members of the CTO, KHP Partners, Research/Support teams, College finance teams and CTO Board and elsewhere as needed to make strategic plans.
To support in identifying issues with the KHP-CTO financial management processes and/or tools and make recommendations to the Senior Clinical Trials Finance Associate, Commercial Trials Manager or Director of the KHP-CTO to improve processes as required.
To work flexibly as a member of the KHP-CTO team & to undertake such other duties within the scope of the post as may be requested by the Commercial Trials Manager or Director of the KHP-CTO

Skills, knowledge, and experience
An all-round Finance professional, experienced in Sales ledger, Invoicing, income distribution and reporting.

Essential criteria

  • Educated to HNC, A level, NVQ 3, HND level or equivalent with relevant vocational experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to advanced level in computer Skills (including Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Experience of managing workload in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities.
  • Knowledge of working with multiple finance systems.
  • Experience using large database such as EDGE.
  • Excellent interpersonal Skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability to dealing with multi-dimensional stake holders.
  • Experience of contributing towards the delivery of Sales ledger invoices and accounts Receivables/Credit Control AND REPORTING.

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge and experience of routine use of Power BI
  • Knowledge and experience of working in Higher Education/NHS sectors.
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment.
