Description:
The Pharmacy department at the RUH is a forward thinking, dynamic and innovative team with a strong clinical and patient focus.
We are excited to offer a position working with the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team.
The main responsibilities of a Clinical Trials Pharmacy Assistant will be to provide full and comprehensive administrative support to pharmacy staff in Clinical Trials Pharmacy team; perform a variety of general pharmacy duties under the supervision of a pharmacist or technician; provide a central point of communication for Sponsors and Healthcare professionals for any clinical trials supported by the Pharmacy Department at the Royal United Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This role involves liaising with all professional disciplines both internally and external to the hospital and will also involve attending online national and international clinical trials meetings. It may be necessary to undertake additional tasks and work in other areas of the department.
To adhere to ICH – Good Clinical Research Practice Guidelines whilst maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
To provide support for the pharmacy clinical trials team, including word processing, record keeping, filing, photocopying working under the direction of the Lead Clinical Trials Pharmacist.
Undertake administrative tasks to facilitate the smooth running of the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Team e.g. deal with incoming correspondence, using initiative as appropriate, arranging meetings as required.
To work as part of the team sharing responsibility for the smooth running of Clinical Trials Pharmacy Services.
