Key Accountabilities of a Clinical Workforce Coordinator include (not limited to):

  • Coordinate recruitment and orientation of Doctors in Training
  • Develop and implement systems for term allocation, rostering, workload analysis and leave management to ensure the needs of the organisation and DiTs are met
  • Work with the MQ Health Academy to coordinate the development of appropriate education and training resources for doctors in training at all levels
  • Assist in the development of applications for accredited (basic and advanced) training site status in appropriate disciplines and support ongoing compliance and preparation for HETI accreditation
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and review the induction and orientation of Doctors In Training to MQ Health
  • Administer and facilitate the visa nominations process for international medical graduates offered clinical training positions
  • Maintain a system to check and maintain practitioner registration with AHPRA and other relevant regulatory bodies for doctors in training at MQ Health
  • Support the completion and submission of logbooks by registrars and fellows and liaise with the billing coordinator to ensure accurate billing
  • Coordinate and maintain records of pre-employment checks for individual doctors in training, including Working With Children Check Clearances, vaccination requirements, venipuncture certifications, etc
  • Perform any other duties as required and as appropriate for the incumbent’s position level and competenc

Responsibilities:

MQ Health is seeking an engaged, dynamic, and experienced professional to join our Strategy and Planning Department as a Clinical Workforce Coordinator on a full-time, continuing basis.
About You
Reporting to Senior Manager, Clinician Practice Network, the successful candidate will work with the Deputy Director of Medical Services and Director of Clinical Training to co-ordinate the MQ Health Doctors In Training (DiT) workforce including Assistants in Medicine, Interns, Residents, Registrars and Fellows. The role will ensure a high level of coordination and support is provided to ensure the ongoing success of MQ Health’s DiT programme.

To Apply:

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirement in your CV and a 1-2 page cover letter:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Healthcare, Management, Human Resources or relevant area and/or equivalent experience in these areas
  • Working knowledge and experience in the Australian healthcare sector and understanding of medical training pathways
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills; including the ability to manage competing demands and deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a matrix organisation
  • High level technology and analytical skills
