Description:
We are seeking a Cloud and Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and monitoring application servers in the cloud, providing 2nd and 3rd level support, and managing deployments. The role requires strong expertise in Citrix Cloud DAAS, Citrix XenApp / Virtual Apps and Desktops v7, and Machine Creation Services (MCS). Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Windows Server 2016/2022, and ADDS Group Policy Management is also essential.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Deep knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 products.
- Strong expertise in Citrix Cloud DAAS, Citrix XenApp / Virtual Apps and Desktops v7, and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud computing and Windows Server 2016/2022.
- Experience with ADDS Group Policy Management.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and scripting.
- Familiarity with Linux OS and Citrix (desirable).
- Azure certification (AZ-900) is considered an asset.
- Experience with application deployment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams to drive architectural improvements.
- Motivated, agile, good team spirit, strong communication skills, and good interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
- Fluency in English (spoken & written); additional languages are an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor application servers in the cloud.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for various IT services, adhering to the guidelines defined by the technology and cybersecurity department.
- Conduct daily operations including patching and vulnerability management.
- Deploy and configure applications and systems, ensuring thorough testing, support, and release documentation.
- Manage application updates, supervision, and deployment.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding application statuses and issues.
- Participate in projects, preparing environments from project phase to go live and post-go-live support.
- Investigate and resolve service requests requiring specialized expertise.
- Monitor and maintain environments, ensuring centralized management between different operational units.
- Perform day-to-day operations in the Microsoft 365 admin environment.
- Provide 24/7 support for business-critical systems as part of an on-call escalation team rotation.
