Description:

FIDES is looking for a Cloud Data Solutions Architect with experience working in the hospital/health system provider space for a contract position.

The Cloud Data Solutions Architect is responsible for collaborating with the client, including various data team stakeholders, to advise on the design of an enterprise data architecture roadmap and develop current and future reference architecture documentation. The primary focus will be on cloud infrastructure (AWS or Microsoft Azure/Fabric), reference architecture, AI platforms (Databricks), and BI capabilities. Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Understanding business objectives and be able to identify implications to IT as it relates to application architecture and infrastructure.
  • Advising on AWS vs Microsoft Azure/Fabric vs Databricks
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to define and prioritize requirements for data needed from internal and external sources to support analytics and decision-making.
  • Developing reference architecture and working with stakeholders to garner buy-in of roadmap/timeline.
  • Mapping legacy technologies to client future state plan.
  • Ensuring that the BI/AI Data Architecture strategy and roadmap is aligned to the business and technology strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience developing reference architectures for healthcare organizations.
  • Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Fabric, and Databricks is required.
  • Experience in hospital/health system provider space and with major EHR/EMR (EPIC and Cerner) is required.
  • 10+ years of experience with Business intelligence, data warehouse, ETL, data analytics, and data visualization tools in the Healthcare provider space .
  • Experienced with technical program management or delivery management of medium/large enterprise clients spanning high data volume projects.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Healthcare systems including EPIC EMR, Cogito, Caboodle, and Clarity.
  • Knowledgeable about cloud solutions including Microsoft Azure and data science/AI tools and best practices.
  • 5+ years of experience in using, architecting, and implementing Business Intelligence (PowerBI, Webi, Qlik, etc.) and Data lakehouse platforms, Master data management, data governance framework, and data integration
  • Experienced in developing common data model framework.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Strata, Kronos, and Infor.
  • Health Catalyst experience is strongly preferred.
