In this role, you will:

• Architect and design database systems and services in a cloud environment.
• Architect and design APIs and microservices to provision and manage database services.
• Lead platform, capability, solution design reviews, and design crisis resolution
• Engage with platform and development teams to lead and guide technical decisions
• Ensure the security and compliance of database services, adhering to industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to database services.
• Collaborate with technologists and services teams across Intel Cloud Services to implement Database Services.
• Perform technical evaluation and Hands-on experiment of Database services in Intel Cloud.
• Champion the creation of BKMs, guidance and framework of all Database Services.
• Measure project quality, define and improve governance process.
• Manage and grow people.
• Manage teams to deliver results through Agile methodology.

QUALIFICATIONS

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 8+ years of experience -OR- a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 5+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 3+ year of experience in:

8+ years’ experience in below areas:

• Designing and operating cloud systems and database services
• Open-source databases / NoSQL (Postgres, Cassandra, Maria, Redis, MongoDB, Milvus etc) and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka)
• Designing and operating distributed databases (replication, scaling up, scaling out)

3+ years experience in below:

• Design and development of APIs and microservices
• Automated testing methodologies and frameworks
• Kubernetes and management of resources using Helm.
• Agile/Scrum processes
• People management and architecting a great team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Programming languages (Go, Python, etc.)
• Infrastructure as code (Ansible)
• CI/CD and DevSecOps concepts
• exposure to artificial intelligence, Gen AI and MLOps concepts.
• scaling microservices in the cloud.
• handling massive quantities of data
• 5+ years’ experience designing/ developing solutions to handle large-scale databases.
