QUALIFICATIONS

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related filed and 7+ years of experience -OR- a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of experience -OR- a PhD in Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field and 1+ year of experience in:

7+ years’ experience in below areas:

• Designing and operating cloud database systems and services
• Be a subject matter expert in SQL databases (SQL Server, MYSQL, PostgreSQL)
• Designing and operating distributed databases (replication, scaling up, scaling out)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Kubernetes and management of resources using Helm.
• Programming languages (Go, Python, etc.)
• Infrastructure as code (Ansible)
• CI/CD and DevSecOps concepts
• Experience handling massive quantities of data
• Several years of experience designing/ developing solutions to handle large-scale databases.
