ABOUT THE ROLE.

Our client is looking for a savvy Cloud Engineer to join their project delivery team. You will be responsible for delivery of development and maintenance of high quality, reliable, secure cloud platforms. You will provide authoritative, independent, and confidential advice in cloud development and operations. You will work hands-on with project team and business operations teams to build and implement cloud solutions and support the operations in the cloud.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Provide input and guidance into application and product architecture and solution design discussions, contributing to the development of reliable, secure, and cost-efficient (whole of life) solutions.
• Contributes to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work, including building and configuration of infrastructure components in cloud environments. Implements agreed infrastructure changes and maintenance routines.
• Build systems integrations including identity brokers/providers, COTS/SaaS solution configuration and complex mixed-user environments (internal staff, external agency staff, external organisations, and citizens).
• Monitor, manage, capacity and undertake planning & configuration of production and non-production Azure environments.
• Implement platform controls in alignment with security policies, regulatory compliance and standards including IS18:2018 and ACSC Essential 8.
• Work collaboratively with Solution Architects, Cybersecurity Engineers, Senior Software Engineers, Senior (Automated) Test Analysts and IT support personnel to drive industry best practices across cloud and DevOps.
