Our team is looking for a Cloud Engineer (f/m/d) familiar and experienced with modern programming languages, such as Java or JavaScript. We are building and evolving a modern cloud-native marketing application (see www.emarsys.com). As a Cloud Engineer (f/m/d) for cloud software projects, you design, develop and operate microservices for SAP’s next generation Marketing Platform (SAP-Emarsys). You will also have the chance to evaluate the fit of new concepts and technologies for new requirements of our Marketing product offering. It is important to us that you are eager to constantly learn about novel technologies in the context of cloud native engineering, distributed systems, and DevOps.

• Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications within the planned timeline.
• Actively participate in the full product lifecycle, from idea through design and develop till maintenance.
• Find simple technical solutions to complex business problems.
• Ensure proper testing, debugging and maintenance of new and existing code.
• Ensure implementation of coding best practices.
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
• Recommend and execute improvements. Provide recommendations to Product Managers on possible technical solutions and time/effort estimations.
• Follow Agile practices and participate in Agile ceremonies within the Team.
• Develop high quality software that meets customer demands.
• Actively mentor and guide Junior Software Developers to improve.
• Produce clean, simple, and maintainable code.
