JOB DESCRIPTION:

Seeking a highly skilled Platform Architect to join our innovative technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and managing robust, scalable platforms with a keen focus on automation and reliability. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of how to build and maintain systems that support large-scale data operations in a cloud environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in platform architecture, cloud operations, or a similar role.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience of leading team for cloud platform operations.
• Strong foundation in SRE principles and practices, including disaster recovery, high availability, and incident management.
• Expertise in DevOps and automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Github, Azure DevOps, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and managing hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of AI technologies and their application in enhancing platform processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with cost management and optimization in cloud environments.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Certifications in Cloud architecture such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with Azure Data Services and data streaming platforms (Kafka, StreamSets).
• Background in developing and deploying microservices architectures.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient platforms that meet business requirements and support critical operations.
• Lead architectural decisions for processing, storage, and access to support cloud platform operations.
• Develop and maintain strategy, processes, tools and services for DevSecOps and Release Management.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver governed, compliant environments tailored to their needs.
• Implement SRE best practices to ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of the cloud platform infrastructure.
• Develop automation strategies to streamline platform services and minimize manual intervention.
• Manage cloud-based and on-premises resources, optimizing for cost, performance, and security.
• Design monitoring solutions and optimization strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Develop frameworks that enable effective troubleshooting and continual system improvements by operational teams.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in platform architecture, SRE, automation, and AI to continually enhance our platform.
