Description:

Rewarding, autonomous Cloud & Platform Engineer role with responsibilities for MediaWorks’ cloud platform, all hosted infrastructure, systems and deployment operations in Amazon Web Services (AWS). With your outstanding technical skill, understanding of the key stakeholder requirements and drive for continuous improvement you will deliver efficient, secure and elegant solutions.

Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on role, demonstrating leadership through high proficiency as an AWS cloud engineer, always improving our cloud practices to reduce operational toil, holding yourself and others accountable for outcomes and bringing industry knowledge and curiosity to think big + challenge the status quo.

  • Day-to-day maintenance and support of all AWS environments with proactive cost optimisation.
  • Building and operating the AWS platform to deliver reliable and scalable services supporting MediaWorks’ digital streaming of audio/video and other digital teams.
  • Automation, installation, administration, monitoring and maintenance of AWS infrastructure technologies in a modern enterprise corporate environment. Including best in class security controls.
  • Collaborating with the rova content (streaming app) and digital product teams to understand and create solutions that best meet their requirements and budget.
  • Supporting our development team and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure that all system documentation, including drawings and procedures, are accurate, relevant and up to date.
