ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Hands on experience of delivering bespoke projects either in Java or Microsoft technologies on cloud,
• Proven background in software architecting/consulting experience with strong skill with solution design and delivery,
• Knowledge of Utility industry, ideally Electricity,
• Conversant with Latest technology trends like Digital, Cloud, Mobility and Analytics,
• Strong experience in architect, design and delivery of enterprise solutions,
• Expertise in dealing with cross-functional streams – Application, Infrastructure, Data Migration, Reporting, Integration, Security, Training and Testing,
• Hands on experience of implementing CoTS product in Public Cloud,
• Knowledge and understanding of infrastructure design concepts like high availability, failover, data replication, and disaster recovery (non-functional requirements),
• Design business solutions to meet specific business needs that are fit for purpose, compliant and adhere to clients’ operational, architectural and design standard,
• Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, Cloud Migrations and modernization architectures. Cloud certifications would be an added advantage,
• Excellent Communication Skills – Presentations and Solution Walkthrough, Workshop Conducting – and interaction with Senior Programme Managers and Senior Architects,
• Analyse options and recommending solutions including technology and deployment options and interface needs,
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong strategic and analytical skills,
• Ability to work as part of a team to solve complex technical problems and work with accounts in complex environments.

ROLE

You will be in the Utilities domain & consulting team in UK collaborating with internal and customer teams consisting of domain experts, customer side Product Owner, Scrum Master, Solution Architect, Data & Integration Architect and Scrum Team members.

DUTIES

• Develop data architecture and lead the delivery of end-to-end data, integration, reporting solution for Utilities Systems cloud and hybrid hosting.
• Analyse business requirements, conduct data & integration impact analysis.
• Develop enterprise data landscape, conceptual data model and logical data model.
• Develop physical data modelling and database designs.
• Design databases to meet and exceed different nonfictional requirements – High availability, zero data loss, cyber security, high resilience, high performance, structured and un-structured data, time series data with resolution of as low as 10 ms, huge volumetric.
• Design data migration, data quality solution.
• Support Business Analysts and Solutions architects to design the systems.
• Conduct Data base activities such as database creation, management, testing, programming on database, data engineering, reverse data engineering, reporting, analytics, data migration etc.
