As Cluster Sales Manager with focus on the Auckland, Karaka & Taupo Region, you will analyze local market trends and competitor activity to execute strategies that keep the Hotels a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business.

Reporting into the Cluster Commercial Director, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Analysis local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
  • Develop customer accounts and travel within the area to drive business into the specific hotels and cluster, to increase market share in all revenue streams
  • Contract new prospect accounts in the Corporate, MICE, Wholesale and Group Tour segments in order to achieve Hotel revenue targets.
  • Monitor performance on a monthly basis in order to review variances, pace and developments.
  • Use analytical skills to analyze account performance and opportunities to share/explain in the commercial meeting.
  • Perform site inspections and bookers presentations for accounts and prospects.
  • Weekly and Monthly updates on account development, lead generation and prospecting via sales reporting tools.
  • Set up result-focused action plan for corporate entertainment and account management activities.
  • Represent hotel in market during workshops, trade fairs and networking opportunities.
  • Initiate creative sales races and blitzes in relevant markets and business areas.
  • Summarize and manage the hotel sales process, conducting regular sales evaluations to ensure each salesperson achieves the sales target.
  • Proactively collect market and industry information to share with other members of the Sales team, capturing business opportunities and ultimately converting to business confirmations.
