The Commons on St. Anthony Street is a Skilled Nursing Facility & Short-Term Rehabilitation Center located in Auburn, NY. We are now offering a paid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) State-Accredited Training Program on-site to obtain your certification and start your new position as a CNA at The Commons on St. Anthony!
A career as a CNA is rewarding and often used as great stepping stone if you’re interested in other positions in nursing, such as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Registered Nurse (RN).
Responsibilities:
The Certified Nurse’s Aide performs direct and indirect care to residents as directed by our Clinical Team of Nurse Managers, Clinical Coordinators, Nursing Supervisors and Charge Nurses.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or ability to pass competency exam (math & reading)
  • Must be able to read/write English Language
  • Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions.
  • Ability to report changes in resident’s condition and other pertinent information.
  • Ability to take and record information and basic records.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate care to a diverse age group of residents
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, transferring, bed mobility, ambulation, feeding, toileting, positioning
  • Distribute and assist with snacks and nourishment
  • Collaborating with other health care team members to personalize and enhance the patient experience
  • Responding to and anticipating the needs of patients’ family members
