CNA - Pre Post Surgery

DESCRIPTION

This position, under the direction of the registered nurse, assists with the direct care of patients in the Same Day Surgery Center. Activities include assisting patients to change clothes, weighing patients, and ambulation of patients. Additional general tasks include transportation, restocking of supplies, and pre surgical visit clerical duties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months Six months of acute care experience.
• 1 year Skilled nursing experience.
• Acute or skilled experience will be waived if the applicant has demonstrated experience involving customer service in healthcare or other related industry and completion of an acute care NAC course.
• Acute or skilled experience will be waived for students currently enrolled and in good standing at a traditional registered nursing program approved by the Nursing Quality Care Commission. At a minimum, satisfactory completion of one academic term (quarter or semester) that included clinical patient care experience is required.
