Responsibilities:

The Clinical Nurse Consultant – Clinical Emergency Response System and Disaster Response is responsible for the care elements outlined in the Clinical Deterioration clinical standard, and for working with our senior leadership in relation to disaster preparedness. You will be developing hospital-wide strategies in relation to clinical deterioration that are evidence-based and meet the needs of our patients and organisation.
You will develop strong working relationships with the Intensive Care Medical and Nursing Team at Northern Beaches Hospital, as this role involves significant collaboration with ICU, outreach services and after hours clinical support teams.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Nursing, you will be supported by the senior medical, nursing and allied health teams.

To be successful:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent as applicable & a post graduate qualification in critical care.
  • At least 5 years full time post-registration experience & at least 3 years’ experience in Critical Care
