WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • One year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certificate from college or technical school specific to CNC Machine Operation a plus
  • Experience with Amada Laser a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to read, understand and perform standard procedures and work instructions
  • Intermediate mechanical skills required
  • Intermediate math and logic skills required
  • Intermediate computer skills and software use experience required

Responsibilities:

  • Reads prints and job orders for determining product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be machined, and tooling instructions such as grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used
  • Operates precision CNC machines to create products meeting required dimensions
  • Inspects and measures parts created to ensure specifications are achieved
  • Maintains job routing information and completes sign-offs as required
  • Performs other related production tasks during available time
  • Performs routine maintenance, lubrication and replacement of worn parts on machines in coordination with maintenance personnel
  • Informs the subsequent shift operator of the production status of the current shift
  • Keeps work area clean and free of oil and other residue
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Manager
