RVA’s Transportation team is looking for students to join their team for a 4-month co-op position during Winter 2023 in various location such as Waterloo, Toronto, Halton, or London.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be currently enrolled in third year in a civil engineering program at an accredited university.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation/AutoTURN is an asset.
- Must have a valid G Class Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Superior English communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to work in an interactive team atmosphere.
- Knowledge about traffic analysis as a part of traffic impact studies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in pre-engineering site surveys and inspection during the construction.
- Design of roads, rail, sewers, watermains and municipal infrastructure projects.
- Help prepare AutoCAD and MicroStation design drawings.
- Provides office support during the construction stage of projects.
- Assist with quantity calculations and preparing tender documents.
- Collation of Traffic data and background information.
- Conduct site visits.
- Assist in traffic analysis.
- Conduct AutoTURN analysis and creation of report exhibits.
- Assist project team in preparing memorandum/report.
