RVA’s Transportation team is looking for students to join their team for a 4-month co-op position during Winter 2023 in various location such as Waterloo, Toronto, Halton, or London.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be currently enrolled in third year in a civil engineering program at an accredited university.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation/AutoTURN is an asset.
  • Must have a valid G Class Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Superior English communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to work in an interactive team atmosphere.
  • Knowledge about traffic analysis as a part of traffic impact studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in pre-engineering site surveys and inspection during the construction.
  • Design of roads, rail, sewers, watermains and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Help prepare AutoCAD and MicroStation design drawings.
  • Provides office support during the construction stage of projects.
  • Assist with quantity calculations and preparing tender documents.
  • Collation of Traffic data and background information.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Assist in traffic analysis.
  • Conduct AutoTURN analysis and creation of report exhibits.
  • Assist project team in preparing memorandum/report.
