Description:
WHAT’S THE OPPORTUNITY?
Anchor QEA is seeking a coastal / water resources engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience with a strong background contributing to the technical design and construction of coastal and riverine projects. The candidate will work directly with other engineers, scientists, and planners to contribute to and lead the planning, design, and construction of water resources, dredging, and coastal restoration projects. The candidate should have task and/or project management experience related to these skills and be comfortable overseeing CAD.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Completion of hydraulic modeling, complex analyses, and calculations to support engineering design
- Participating in the collection of field data independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Preparing design documents and specifications for riverine, waterfront, dredging, beach nourishment, and restoration projects
- Developing construction planning and observation documentation and participating in construction management efforts
- Working with others to develop new clients, identify project opportunities, prepare proposals, and capture new work
- Developing and conducting technical review of project work and reports
- Task and/or project management of coastal engineering, coastal and reservoir dredging, river scour protection, dam removal, flood inundation analysis, sea level rise adaptation planning, and habitat restoration projects
- Assisting with authoring scopes of work, developing project schedules, managing the technical and financial aspects of projects, communicating with clients and stakeholders, and coordinating subcontractors for complex design and construction projects
