JOB DESCRIPTION:

Eccalon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cognitive Behavioral Specialist with expertise in understanding user behaviors and applying them to system design. As a Cognitive Behavioral Specialist, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting user behaviors to enhance the design, functionality, and user experience of our systems. Your work will contribute to creating intuitive and user-friendly products that meet the needs and expectations of our customers. You will collaborate with developers, Engineers, Functional Specialists, and clients to understand their challenges and craft solutions that help them to solve their toughest problems. This individual will be able to implement design thinking with a deep understanding of how to marry the needs of our customers with digital experiences that deliver.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in cognitive psychology, behavioral science, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cognitive Behavioral Specialist, User Researcher, UX Researcher, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of cognitive and behavioral psychology principles and their application in system design.
  • Proficiency in research methodologies such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Experience with user-centered design processes and usability evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to derive meaningful insights from user behavior data.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey research findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of user behaviors, including cognitive processes, decision-making patterns, emotional responses, and interactions with digital systems.
  • Utilize various research methodologies, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis, to collect and interpret user behavior data.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and insights from user behavior data to inform system design decisions and improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, engineers, and marketers to incorporate user behavior insights into the design and development process.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize user experiences based on cognitive and behavioral principles.
  • Conduct user testing and user experience evaluations to assess the effectiveness of system designs and propose enhancements.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces based on user behavior research.
  • Provide recommendations on system features, functionalities, and interactions to align with user behavior expectations and preferences.
  • Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and industry trends related to cognitive behavioral science, user experience, and human-computer interaction.
  • Communicate research findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in clear and actionable reports or presentations.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation.
  • Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with one or more local or remote Agile Scrum teams, working iteratively to deliver customer value.
  • Participate in and lead design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challenges.
