SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical , Chemical Engineering or related discipline from a Canadian Accredited (or equivalent) Institution?
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and safe driving record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

  • Previous industry experience is considered beneficial, but not essential
  • Commitment to safety on and off the job
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-based environment

Responsibilities:

WHAT ROLE YOU WILL PLAY IN OUR TEAM

Are you an upcoming or recent graduate who is motivated to join Imperial as a Facilities Engineer? If you are passionate about problem solving, delivering results, working collaboratively in a team environment and building positive relationships, then we have a great opportunity for you! This role is located in Cold Lake and is embedded within our Upstream asset team. You will get to use your technical and creative skills and experiences to help manage our 5000+ wells which produce up to 140,000 barrels per day oil.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Trouble shooting and consulting on facility design and operating problems, working directly with operations and maintenance personal
  • Prepare engineering designs using industry code and company standards for facility upgrades and replacement in kinds of piping, pumps, and all other process equipment.
  • Perform studies on enhancement opportunities, finalize studies with engineered design packages for execution
  • Provide engineering guidance on execution of facility upgrades, work directly with maintenance group and contractors
  • Direct mentorship under professional engineers
