Our client, a leading player in the Finance industry, is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Collections Officer to join their in-house Collections team located in Eight Mile Plains, QLD.

ROLE SUMMARY

As an Entry-Level Collections Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in maximizing cash flow by efficiently managing outstanding debt. Reporting directly to the Loan Accounts Manager, you’ll be responsible for reviewing accounts and determining the best approach to engage clients. Your ability to communicate effectively and resolve debt-related queries will be essential in maintaining positive relationships with customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

First Point of Contact: Handle inbound and outbound calls and emails related to debt collection.
Maximize Debt Recovery: Communicate with customers to collect outstanding balances promptly.
Aged Debt Management: Understand how daily activities impact aged debt values.
Dispute Resolution: Identify, escalate, and assist in resolving debt queries and disputes.
Maintain Goodwill: Ensure positive interactions with brokers and customers during the collections process.
Problem Reporting: Keep management and sales teams informed of emerging issues, including uncollectable accounts.
Policy Adherence: Comply with company policies and collection procedures.
