Description:
Primary manager of a combined operation (under same roof or within close proximity) of Retail/Food, Retail/Retail (remote locations only), or Retail/Services. (See volume standards for further clarification).As a volume-based position, grading is dependent on maintaining sales in accordance with published Volume Standards.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
2 years’ retail, food and/or services management/supervisory experience;
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of retail, food and/or services management/supervisory experience.
The hiring supervisor may accept successful completion of one of the following training programs as a substitute For one year of experience:
Retail/food: national brand fast food (NBFF) training, the exchange restaurant operations management academy (ROMA), exchange retail management training (RMT), or retail management academy (RMA) training programs.
Retail/services: exchange retail management training (RMT) or retail management academy (RMA) training programs.
Must complete ServSafe (5460) within 30 days of assuming position (retail/food only).
Fuel management compliance completion with 3 months of assuming position (at facilities with GAS)
Retail/services position requires SBM curriculum completion in LEX within 6 months of assuming position.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
PCS entitlements are authorized for eligible associates. Transfer allowance and hardship relocation allowance authorized. Limited assignments, 2 year maximum.
Responsibilities:
Supervises staff to ensure proper operation of facilities and customer satisfaction; assures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines relating to facility operations and safety, i.e. Food Safety, OSHA, EPA/environmental.
Establishes goals to maximize sales and productivity and to minimize inventory costs. Complies with pricing policies on merchandise according to established operating policies and procedures.
Responsible for financial aspects of the combined operation.
If responsible for a Services/Concession activity, monitors concession performance in accordance with Exchange agreements. Responsible for resolving day-to-issues. Work with contracting officer as needed to reach resolution.
Develops and mentors staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
