- Experience in a financial/management accounting role
- Experience preparing Budgets, maintaining Forecasts, and linking actual results to these documents.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or with CPA/CA/CFA designation is desirable
- Understanding of general accounting, accounting principles, accounting journals and accruals etc.
- High level of competency with SAP and accounting tools like Xeras and TM1 are highly regarded
- Effective communication skills in engaging people across the business
- Great can-do attitude and the ability to think on your feet
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be working closely with the Tahmoor Commercial Team and the GFG Commercial function. You will be responsible for delivering both Financial and Management Accounting outcomes for Tahmoor Coal.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting
- Assisting with monthly results reporting including commentary
- Monthly one-on-one meetings with site budget owners to sustain a live forecast and have a detailed understanding of P&L pressure points
- Assisting with month end accounting processes and associated data analysis
- Reconciliations, financial reports, and other tasks as required
- Deploying financial systems and processes to meet business KPIs
- Identifying and driving business improvement initiatives with management and site stakeholders
