Busch Vacuum Solutions has an immediate direct hire opportunity open for a Commercial Contracts Manager at our headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia!
The Commercial Contracts Manager position is responsible for demonstrating strong attention to detail and the ability to discover potential risks for our company. The successful candidate should also analyze contracts to reduce costs and increase profits while ensuring compliance with the law. You will work closely with internal business resources and other stakeholders across the company to ensure all third-party agreements meet Busch’s contracting standards and requirements.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • BA or BS degree in Business or related field
  • Additional qualification in law is a plus.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in contract drafting, contract evaluation, contract negotiation or contract execution
  • Prior supervisor/management experience: Preferred
  • Juris Doctorate: Preferred
  • Knowledge of contracting concepts, business contract terms, and ability to interpret legal and business terms and clauses across contract types: Required
  • Hands-on contract management experience, working with contract redlining, and familiarity with the contracting process: Required
  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation), DFAR (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation), CFR (Code of Federal Regulations), and other related regulations is a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient use of MS Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
  • (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems experience are a plus.
  • Valid Drivers’ License (must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards): Required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
  • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 10%) domestically and internationally

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
  • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 50lbs
  • All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day interface with external customers, vendors, and company management on contractual matters related to all contracts. Explain terms and conditions to managers and interested parties.
  • Cradle-to-grave administration of a variety of contract documents, including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements between the company and clients, pricing agreements, business operation agreements, etc.
  • Drafting and/or redlining contracts to ensure that Busch is adequately protected from risk leveraging industry best practices and subject matter expertise.
  • Working closely with business customers and internal stakeholders to understand needs, determine the risks and design appropriate execution plans.
  • Effectively negotiate contracts within Busch’s contracting standards and business objectives. You will be responsible for planning and executing negotiation strategy in a timely manner while remaining flexible to changing circumstances and partnering with internal team resources as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other groups (sales and service team, technical team, project management office, account managers, accounting/finance) during all phases of the contract lifecycle.
  • Managing transactions independently, efficiently and driving to completion in a timely manner. As the central point of contact for each contract, you will leverage your organizational skills and influence to ensure deals are negotiated and executed in accordance with business and timelines.
  • Conduct special projects as assigned.
  • Stay up to date on industry regulations and best practices for contract management
  • Align departmental goals and projects in support of company objectives.
