REQUIREMENTS
- Based on the East Coast in the U.S.
- 4+ years of contract administration/management or a newly qualified Associate Attorney
- Ability to review, redline, and negotiate substantive issues in legal documents and to identify and analyze areas of concern
- Experience supporting internal business teams or clients
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a friendly, outgoing, and flexible manner
- Accurate and organized with data and documents
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, and meet critical deadlines under tight timelines
- Ability to manage varying workloads and handle multiple tasks for different business teams simultaneously, prioritizing appropriately
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Detail-oriented and communicative – you know when to escalate appropriately
- Experience with Gmail, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Sign (f/k/a EchoSign), Salesforce, and able to learn new programs or softwares quickly
Responsibilities:
Veeva’s Legal Team is seeking a Commercial Counsel or a Senior Contract Administrator available to start July 1, 2024.
We are looking for a customer service-oriented, team player who can work autonomously in a dynamic environment. In this role, you will play a crucial part within the Legal Team as they provide legal support to Veeva’s Global Partner Alliances teams. This role will report to the Senior Counsel, Global Alliances.
This position is ideal for an individual who is extremely detail-oriented, driven, and eager to build on their analytical and critical thinking abilities by solving problems with creative solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers regarding contracts
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate substantive terms of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Veeva alliance agreements, third-party partner program agreements, software license agreements, and other legal templates. You will also help to create new templates for new programs/initiatives
- Report on the status of existing and pending contracts (currently managed in Salesforce.com)
- Recommend and implement improvements and innovations to the contract process and terms
- Manage the contracting process for sponsorship of Veeva Summit events
- Be a back-up support to the team’s third-party TPA function
- Maintain contract template versions
- Maintain the Global Alliances Legal Team’s intranet page
- Be responsible for the signature acquisition process (e.g., routing agreements for electronic signature)
- Support special contract-related projects as necessary
- Support the Global Alliances Legal Team as requested
- Other responsibilities as requested
