“You will join our team consisting of 17 dedicated colleagues who are motivated to drive the required commercial analyses and competitiveness assessments that supports the overall strategy in Arla Denmark. As our new Commercial Development Manager, you will be working in the Customer Development Department supporting sales and marketing functions with commercial recommendations. The core of our work is to use multiple streams of data to generate recommendations and commercial opportunities based on market-, shopper-, consumer and customer insights. Your insights and recommendations thus have strategic impact to drive growth and commercial opportunities”, says Kamilla Svane.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL

We are looking for an independent Commercial Development Manager to proactively challenge how we and our customers think and act. We need you to drive continuous improvement and innovation in ways of working, processes, tools and research, and test and learn activities.
You have an educational background on Master´s level, could be within business or economics, or something else – it is a must though, that you have a natural flair for numbers and data management – yet take a pragmatic approach to data analysis. You bring 3+ years of experience working in or with FMCG´s.

You could have a consulting background or worked with market insights in the area of sales and marketing. Moreover you;

  • have a natural interest in shoppers and consumers and a broad understanding of the Danish retail and/or convenience market
  • has excellent presentation skills – written (PPT) and when presenting in person to internal and external stakeholders
  • find it easy and fun to communicate and cooperate with colleagues in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • have experience in converting data and insights to commercial recommendations and actions
  • are self-driven and can maintain an overview, but at the same time have an eye for details
  • results-oriented, structured and dynamic
  • has excellent skills in PowerPoint and Excel, and it is an advantage if you are a Power BI user
  • speak and write English and Danish fluently

You can look forward to the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver recommendations to convenience customers and internally in the commercial part of Arla Denmark. Your recommendations are based on market insight and analysis using various systems and data sources, e.g. macro level tendencies, FMCG market development in general, retail sales, promotions, prices, shopper and consumer behaviour
  • Take the lead in selected projects with strategic importance and impact for Arla Denmark
  • Ensure proper planning of projects incl. defining deliveries, timelines, project organization, etc. and align with key stakeholders
  • Provide detailed analysis of shopper and consumer trends and behaviour across our dairy categories to find white spots in the market
  • Ad-hoc tasks, e.g. estimate promotion volume uplifts, create price overviews, create business cases and secure data quality
  • Support development & review of strategies in close collaboration with sales and marketing, and independently drive larger ad hoc projects
