Description:
DESCRIPTION
Manage the National and Export sales function by co-ordinating the functioning of Export and Regional sales managers.
Co-ordinate annual budgets and determine unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analysing trend and results.
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volumes and profit for existing and new products.
Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
Plan to ensure achievement of divisional and personal targets, aligning with company sales policies and strategies.
Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skills to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales targets and KPI targets are met.
Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition.
Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals.
Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them.
Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics.
Provide daily report of field success and communicate data to superiors.
RELATED EXPERIENCE
10 years sales experience in the pump industry, alternatively in a technical environment with 5-10 years managerial experience.
Sound understanding of Co-op, industrial, end-users and export markets.
Knowledge of letters of credit, bank requirements, incoterms and documentation procedures will be an advantage.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bcom Marketing or similar qualification
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound knowledge of accounting practices, stock control and customer relations.
Computer literate i.e. Microsoft packages and E1.
Must have a valid driver license and passport and be prepared to travel.
