  About us: Education Development Trust is an education charity that exists to transform lives by improving education around the world. We work collaboratively with national and local governments, schools and other partners to design and deliver sustainable solutions to improve education.
  We are currently seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst, to support the Strategic Finance function in providing financial and commercial advice across EDT’s portfolio of new business initiatives. This is a full-time role (35 hours a week) however part time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
  The role can be mainly homebased, but candidates must be willing to self-fund travel to our head office in Reading, 1-2 times a month, or more, according to the business need.
  We are interested in hearing from individuals with strong analytical and communication skills and who will enjoy the fast-paced and ever-changing dynamic of working and is either qualified or studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA). We are also interested in hearing from candidates who have recently graduated within Finance, Accounting or Business studies who are looking for their first opportunity to join a growing finance team.
  We can provide a professional qualification study package for the right candidate once probation has been completed.
  Ideal candidates will have experience in preparing detailed budgets and management accounts for projects or business units, have experience of being proactive in identifying areas of concern or requiring further investigation, and understand complexities of working across the geographies. Strong Excel, Power BI and Tableau and stakeholder management skills will be an advantage. Understanding of the risks of operating in the multi-currency volatile international environment will also be an advantage.
