Description:

This organisation distributes, markets and sells consumer products across Australia. Their revenues are in the AUD4-500m range and they are continuing to grow significantly. This growth means there is an increased need for commercial financial analysis across the organisation, so they are now looking for an Analyst who is able to support the ongoing growth. Based in Western Sydney and reporting to the Finance Director, this role is new to the organisation - key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the budget/forecasting preparation and delivery process by creating more streamlined reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Supporting the functional leads within the organisation through the development of meaningful reports such as sales numbers, P&L’s and ongoing, ad hoc reports.
  • Analysing sales and market trends, reviewing pricing and new product development, evaluating marketing campaigns and supporting pricing within tender documents.
  • Initiating commercial finance projects to support the organisation as it evolves and grows.

This is a new role and as such is a huge and rare opportunity to bring commercial insights and reporting to a large organisation. The role could suit someone with experience in a commercial environment who is looking for more impact and autonomy. You will have high levels of excel and data management combined with the ability to influence and inform decision making in a fast-moving commercial environment. A knowledge of FP&A, commercial reporting, internal management reporting, pricing and change are all useful skills to bring to the role, combined with high levels of drive and initiative
