Description:

The Role
Drive the budget process for his BU and regular revision processes of financial and operational performance vs agreed targets by coordinating responsibilities with financial analysts and with other departments on information requirements. • Act as finance advisory and make recommendations to the CEO to allow the business to make informed strategic, managerial and operational decisions to achieve Budget targets. • Define corrective action plans where needed on detailed monthly operating results and analysis of cost per cost center and cost type, analyzing main variances with latest revision, budget and previous year • Drive action plans and anticipate financial and governance problems to ensure optimization of OPEX ensuring they are on target with projections, feasibility studies and that the company operates within budget parameters. • Assist the BU Management ensuring that operational areas are managed efficiently and effectively to ensure OPEX cost on sales is maintained below budget targets • Provide support and guidance to financial analysts to allow them to progress as fast as possible and supervise in a suitable manner the quality, reliability and accuracy of work delivered by them • Refine the management reporting to incorporate and evaluate all key performance indicators that management requires to be able to follow business profitability and its drivers. • Coordinate and direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual budgets, financial forecasts, core financial planning and analysis, proposal rates, profit plans and schedules instituting and maintaining other planning and control procedures, and analyzing and reporting of variances to local management • Assist Group Finance and Internal Audit in the implementation of Group internal control procedures in order to verify the integrity of all financial information and appropriate level of governance over key processes. Develop and interpret of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, ROCE, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the operating effectiveness of the company. • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments. • Direct the monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities to insure timely and accurately compliance with corporate timelines. • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions, including pricing strategy, product profitability, and market analysis. • Review Commercial terms in various business contracts and mitigate risks in financial modeling. • Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. • Ensure effective utilization of resources and promote collaboration and teamwork.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Accounting or Finance; Finance qualified (CA, ACA, CIMA etc.) • Arabic is a MUST • Proven minimum 15 years work experience in Finance with experience in both the GCC Region and Multinational companies with advanced finance organisation and processes • Solid experience in Pharma and Retail industry with proven track record of proactively impact the financial performance of BU under own responsibility Oracle knowledge preferable with good understanding of digitalization of finance processes • Proven experience in leading and coaching Finance teams • Highly assertive credible individual with capability of influencing decision-making process Very good communication and relationship management skills. • Ability to work with a diverse team in terms of skillsets and culture.
