As a Commercial Home & Investment Lending Manager (CHILM), your goal is to support the mid-market Commercial segment in their whole of wallet aspirations. You will do this by relentlessly increasing home loan penetration within customer portfolios by proactively engaging with stakeholders across the value chain to create, nurture and develop mutually beneficial and commercially viable relationships.
Partnering with commercial bankers to drive revenue, through joint ownership of client relationships ensuring a healthy pipeline of customer acquisition, with a correlating and complimenting focus on retention. You will be a subject matter expert in all facets of consumer lending to high value clients with complex needs. You will also coach customers through each step of the journey towards an ongoing improvement in financial wellbeing.
What will your day look like?

AS A COMMERCIAL HOME AND INVESTMENT LENDING MANAGER WITH ANZ:

You will be a dedicated home and investment lending specialist to the mid-market Commercial client – responsible for identifying appropriate products and solutions to meet your customer’s needs.
You will partner with commercial bankers and co-manage clients to deepen relationships in attaining whole of wallet. You will take a holistic approach, helping customers achieve their home or investment property goals while protecting their financial wellbeing. You will proactively connect customers to other ANZ teams who can further support their goals.
You will be a driver of Commercials’ portfolio growth, both by maximising customer inflow and minimising customer attrition. You will contribute to Retail district performance by seeking to outperform against individual target.
You will develop strong knowledge of your local market, highlight emerging trends and drive customer and stakeholder referrals.
You will embrace opportunities for change and continuous improvement, proactively sharing learnings with others in the wider team and with other ANZ teams and partners.
You will coach and support Commercial business partners to provide the best possible customer experience, providing advice and expertise and helping solve problems and challenges.
You will adhere to ANZ’s policies, processes and standards and you will role model strong risk management by consistently demonstrating full compliance to risk measures.

BUT BACK TO SOME OF THE SKILLS:

Previous credit experience with deep product and market knowledge. Proven ability in achieving results through relationship sales & customer service
Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of developing relationships across teams. Strong financial acumen with understanding of different lending structures. Extensive relationship management and negotiation skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Embraces change. Proactive and shows initiative in building long term reciprocal relationships with stakeholders
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Contributes to a collaborative environment
Previous lending experience (Consumer or Commercial)
Knowledge and experience in dealing with SMEs.
