Description:

This position is responsible for the management, supervision and development of the commercial loan/credit administration area. The Commercial Administrator is responsible for the management, supervision and development of the credit analysts and supports the commercial bankers and the lending function by managing credit and portfolio risk while providing high-quality customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin/Accounting/Finance or similar field OR extensive knowledge of loan structuring, credit overview, commercial law and commercial entities with three to four years of progressive credit administration experience, or commercial lending experience, in a bank or financial services environment
  • Proficiency in all programs within Google Suite.
  • Must possess strong analytical, organizational and communications skill

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements clear and concise internal controls and procedures concerning credit and portfolio risk while balancing these with the business objectives of the department
  • Ensures on-going soundness of the commercial loan portfolio through diligent monitoring of credit performance, covenant compliance and collateral valuation
  • Underwrites loan requests and prepares Loan Presentations on complex credits, and less complex credits as needed
  • Provides commercial bankers and credit analysts with technical advice in determining loan structure for new and existing customers
  • Reviews independent risk rating analysis to verify the risk assessment by commercial bankers in accordance with the bank’s loan policy.
  • Communicates changes in credit relationships and regulations to the commercial bankers, credit analysts and Head of Lending
  • Provides reports and analysis on portfolio performance, quality, risk and loss exposure to Head of Lending on a regular basis and as needed
  • Monitors and recommends changes in lending and underwriting process and procedures as appropriate
  • Assists with outside auditors and representatives from both private and regulatory agencies during examinations.
  • Manages, supervises and develops credit analyst staff through training and establishment of performance objectives
  • Conducts annual performance reviews for credit analysts
