Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to join their team. The Commercial Manager will play a crucial role in driving the success of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Wind, and Solar projects in the region. This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution and make a positive impact on the environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Law, or related field. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience in commercial management within the renewable energy sector, with specific expertise in BESS, Wind, and Solar projects is required.
  • Strong understanding of project finance, contract law, and commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • The Commercial Manager will develop and execute commercial strategies to maximize revenue and profitability of BESS, Wind, and Solar projects.
  • They will lead negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders to secure favourable terms and agreements.
  • Monitoring market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks will be a key responsibility.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including project development, finance, and legal to ensure alignment of commercial objectives.
  • Managing project budgets, financial forecasts, and cost controls to optimize project economics.
  • Assessing commercial feasibility of new opportunities and providing recommendations to senior management.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, partners, and government agencies.
  • Overseeing contract management processes including drafting, negotiation, and administration.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to protect project investments.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports and updates on commercial performance to senior leadership.
