REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years experience within the construction industry.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated / Able to work on your own initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of Quantity Surveyors managing projects in Ireland.
  • Facilitate Monthly update review meetings with the Project QS, Site Manager, Operations Manager, Safety manager, Project Engineer, Project Director, Commercial Lead and Project Manager.
  • Assists QS with Claims, certifications and contract negotiations.
  • Tender Vs Construction Cost analysis.
  • Manage sub-contractor package to include provision of assistance to Operations in appointing the sub-contractor, formulating sub-contractor contract, processing payments and controlling variations.
  • Controlling project costs and ensuring that all costs applied to the job go against the job number.
  • Conduct official handover meeting with estimating team.
  • Contract Negotiations, agreement of payment terms and milestones.
  • Liaising with the client and sub-contractors (attending project meetings when required)
  • Regular contact with Operations for project updates and tracking project Variations.
  • Take an active part in Sub-contractor procurement.
  • Responsible for updating SharePoint folders and ensuring all financial information is only visible to the correct personnel. Manage permissions and accessibility to pertinent financial information, ensuring visibility to select audience.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned by senior management
