Description:

Abbott Medical is recruiting for an additional Commercial Operations Associate to provide comprehensive administration support to the Commercial Team covering varied aspects of inventory management, tender submissions, quotations, contracts and database management. This position is based from our office in Solihull.

What you will do:

  • Support quotation administration process daily, ensuring all quotations are completed compliantly
  • Handle pricing queries and action pricing discrepancies
  • Act as a gatekeeper for UK Price by ensuring all price requests are in line with current guidelines
  • Continuously improve cleanliness of Contracts & Quotes database/SAP
  • Support the management of contract account transition, including responding to queries from the sales teams and customers
  • Support capital administration
  • Support the wider Commercial team with management of Tenders to ensure timely submission and maintain an accurate database and audit trail
  • Responsible for completion of Go Live Plans in conjunction with other stakeholders as necessary (Finance, Quality and Regulatory etc.) ensuring compliance with audit requirements
  • Establish strong working relationships cross divisionally at all levels within Abbott and look for continuous improvement within the commercial functions
  • Undertake projects as directed by the Commercial Operations & Analytics Manager and wider leadership team

What you’ll need:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English
  • Advanced level use of e-mail systems, Excel, Word and Microsoft Applications
  • Experience of using SAP
  • Experience of Business Objects and Power BI advantageous
  • Strong planning skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise effectively, managing own workload within agreed timelines
  • Ability to work under time pressures – experience within a busy commercial environment ideal
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
