The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Commercial, Performance and Business Support Manager to join our busy Alliance Leadership team! In this senior role, your responsibilities will be:
Commercial, Performance and Business Support responsibilities
- Lead a team of experts in finance, commercial, performance and risk, quality, and data information to ensure sound delivery, accurate and timely reporting, and continuous improvement of quality performance of the Alliance, aligned to the Target Outturn Cost (TOC) strategy.
- Encompass overseeing the commercial aspects of planning, design and maintenance/ construction delivery.
- Play a crucial role in providing sound guidance in the realms of contractual, financial and risk management within the Alliance. Shape, influence, and drive the financial performance.
- Develop and deliver a commercial strategy in accordance with the requirements of the Alliance and its mission, vision, values and behaviours.
Alliance Leadership Team responsibilities
- Strategic and operational leaders
- Provide overall leadership and visible day-to-day management of the wider WTA team and functional teams within
- Champion a strong health and safety culture across staff and suppliers.
- Create policy, set direction and priorities, raise risk, explore opportunities, and make decisions
- Culture stewards
- Create a positive, cohesive and united high-performance culture that challenges the status quo, embraces our differences, and integrates across WTA functions to achieve shared objectives
- Maintain a health and safety priority
- Objectives and results custodians
- Own and deliver the WTA objectives (accountability, drive change, clear AB focus, governance structures)
- Make ‘best for System’ recommendations to the Board
About you
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Commercial Management role (or similar). Other desirable skills and attributes include:
- A relevant tertiary qualification/s
- 5 + years’ experience in a commercial, performance, and business support manager role (or similar)
- Experience in infrastructure and/or construction projects, putting together bids for new work and negotiating and agreeing to contracts and agreements
- Sound understanding of commercial data; ability to offer analysis, interpretation and decision advise to the Alliance
- Proven ability to write sound Board reports and presentations
- Excellent relationship and influencing skills to solicit buy-in from a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the ALT

The remuneration, inclusive of FH Real benefits, for this role will be in the range of $140k to $160k p.a.
