Description:

Overview:
Plans, monitors and manages internal programs from initiation through completion | Leads or coordinates programs, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, troubleshooting and indirect people management | Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions | Identifies and nurtures strategic relationships with new and existing customers | Responsibilities are within the Commercial Programs Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.

Major Position Responsibilities:

  • Has P&L responsibilities for a specific program.
  • Implements and administers one or more corporate programs, typically consisting of multiple programs or sub-programs.
  • Executes programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers.
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
  • Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization.
  • Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work in completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.
  • Machine Shop experience preferred.
  • Responsible for retaining and expanding existing customer relationships for one or more programs.
  • Manages new or existing customer relationships and resolves issues as they arise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education &/ or Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Project Management Certification preferred
  • 2-4 years experience relevant to the positions functional area
  • Preferred: Machine shop experience in Aerospace and Defense, Industrial Manufacturing, or related industry
  • Ability to develop and mentor others. Management skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read engineering drawings for metal parts.
