JOB DESCRIPTION

U.S. Bank, NA, Commercial Real Estate Group (CRE) is looking to hire a Construction Disbursement Loan Administrator 3 (Construction Disbursement Manager (CDM)) to join our team of enthusiastic and driven professionals. You will manage a diversified portfolio of construction loans, including complex syndicated transactions, developer/investor commercial construction projects including retail, office, mixed use, and industrial, and residential construction projects including apartments, condos, homebuilder, and affordable housing.
You will be responsible for administering and overseeing the monthly construction draws disbursements. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing General Contractor payment applications, lien waivers and soft cost invoices. You will also be analyzing and updating budgets to ensure the loans remain in balance and the sources/uses of funds are properly disbursed and tracked. Additionally, your review will include verifying borrower equity contributions, identifying exceptions and changes in conformity to standard monitoring requirements, as approved by Credit, and funding in accordance with Loan Documents and/or approved deviations.
You will be working in partnership with Relationship Managers and CRE Loan Administration from the time the loan is approved until project completion. You will assist in reviewing and/or negotiating Commercial Real Estate (CRE) construction loan documents, to protect the bank’s interest. Lastly you will be the primary liaison with customers, construction consultants and title company representatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically five to seven years of experience in commercial real estate loan administration

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Considerable knowledge of commercial real estate construction financing including letters of credit, borrowing base facilities, multi-phased construction, and multiple collateral properties
  • Strong technical expertise in construction loan administration functions
  • Understanding of construction pay applications (AIA’s), lien waivers, change orders and contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to administer a portfolio of complex commercial real estate construction loans
  • Advanced knowledge of construction finance, law, documentation, accounting, and data systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to change and is a team advocate
  • Forward thinking and looks for continuous improvement and openly shares with team
  • Committed to working on a team that provides excellent customer service
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft products
