Job Description:
The Commercial Strategy Manager/Leader will be a valuable member of the Global Service Commercial Strategy and Marketing team. The team is responsible for formulating the global service commercial, go-to-market, and pricing strategy, as well as driving revenue optimization through sales and marketing effectiveness programs.
Reporting to the Global Service Commercial Strategy and Marketing Director, the Commercial Strategy Leader works with global and local senior management to develop the global service commercial strategy through a clear and unified annual planning process, and provides actionable recommendations based on assessments of markets, competition, and key customer segments.

Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and significant industry experience in strategy, business analytics, and marketing.
  • Proven strength in problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to network effectively at all levels and influence without direct management oversight.
  • Ability to articulate with good presentation skills and to contribute to executive-level discourse.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a sound market intelligence framework as the basis for the Global Service Commercial Strategy and to drive fact-based business decisions
  • Identify key market and segment trends, as well as the competitive landscape that would guide the global service commercial strategy.
  • Design and commission the necessary research to drive market expansion and sales growth.
  • Map customer journey, buying criteria, and analyze customer experience with SE vs. competition.
  • Build market knowledge by creating a network among global corporate and service strategy, Line of Business, as well as in-country marketing and sales teams for continuous collection of market, competition, and customer insights.
  • Support the mindset shift from role-centered to understanding the strategic importance of Market Intelligence in Business Planning.
  • Design and drive a clear and unified annual planning process
  • Work with the annual planning deployment leader to improve the design and process of the annual marketing and sales plan process.
  • Ensure global and local alignment on the service strategy and priorities.
  • Formulate and optimize mid-term Global Service Commercial Strategy
  • Based on the market, customer, and competitor insight, as well as key subject matter experts’ input, clearly define customer segmentation, customer value proposition, offer development needs, go-to-market strategy, and strategies to acquire and retain customers, to reach mid-term Global Service growth ambition.
  • Set global service commercial team focus areas to support business growth and regional execution.
