THE POSITION

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Commercial Strategy team, responsible for driving the growth of the Canadian Sportsbook business. You will play an important role in quarterly financial forecasting, setting business strategies against key tentpole moments, and surfacing customer insights & industry trends.
You will be part of a highly collaborative team environment, working closely with a variety of stakeholders across the organization, including Casino Commercial, Analytics, Finance, Risk & Trading, Marketing, Product, and more. The role will be based in Toronto, Canada.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Improve monthly, quarterly, and annual business forecasting.
  • Influence the creation, execution and aftercare of improvement and optimization projects that will benefit customers, while considering profitably.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to optimize existing internal processes, and external supplier relationships.
  • Perform analysis to derive insights that support business decisions for the Canada Sportsbook.
  • Keep a pulse on the competitive landscape, researching the latest industry trends and continuously looking for new ways to improve our conversion & retention efforts.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to drive desired outcomes.

THE STATS

What we’re looking for in our next teammate

  • 2+ years’ experience in consulting, finance, or adjacent field preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a highly numerate major (Business, Math, Stats, Econ, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Excel data modelling required; experience with tableau/data visualization, SQL, Python, or R a plus
  • Strong executive presence, with experience presenting to senior leadership stakeholders
  • Track record of transforming data into actionable insights and presentations
  • Ability to take initiative and produce results in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective at relationship building and sensitive to stakeholders’ needs
  • Loves learning and seeks challenges
  • Interest in sport preferred
