JOB DESCRIPTION

• Installation of overhead garage doors and operators, rolling steel doors, dock equipment, high speed doors, and other tasks associated with garage doors and garage door services.
• Diagnose problems, provide effective solutions, and carry out required work on the garage doors.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure satisfaction and timely completion of projects.
• Attend and participate in all required safety meetings and training sessions.
• Retain an appropriate level of product knowledge for products offered.
• Ensure all scheduled work is performed to the customer’s satisfaction and resolve issues or problems.
• Ensuring truck is fueled, serviced, and ready for operation prior to beginning of the workday.
• Ensuring truck is restocked with appropriate service material daily.
• Assisting in unloading of trucks when needed.
• Maintaining timecards for compensation through the company’s payroll software for accurate record keeping of time worked.
• Performing a variety of secondary support tasks as requested by the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS –

• Some Construction Experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills and ability to work with power tools.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Honesty and dependability -willingness and ability to show up for work!
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a standard drug test.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have a neat appearance.

• May need to participate in a standard drug and alcohol screening Test.
  Physical Requirements –
  Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the ability to medium to heavy work. As a technician, you must be able to lift to 100lbs and carry for up to 50ft. Physical efforts usually involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of weight (up to 100 pounds.) Jobs may involve some climbing (ladders), balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, or standing. Tasks may involve extended periods of time sitting (driving to and from jobsites and the office.) Tasks require sound, visual, and depth perception. Tasks require oral communication ability.
  Environmental Requirements –
  Tasks are regularly performed inside and/or outside with potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature, and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS JOB?

The Commercial Overhead Door Technician will service and install overhead garage doors with a focus on quality, safety, and ability to provide excellent customer service. We provide work year-round, a truck and all the support needed to excel in this position. Leads are booked by our Call Center for customers that have a real need to replace, service, install or repair their overhead garage doors and openers. You are dispatched to solve Customer’s problems and take care of their needs and wants with our great products, training, and warranties.

THIS ROLE QUALIFIES FOR $1500 SIGN-UP BONUS, WITH $750 TO BE DISBURSED AFTER 90 DAYS AND THE REMAINING $750 AT THE 6-MONTH MARK.

* Our company’s pay period is Sunday through Saturday, with WEEKLY payroll! That means payday is EVERY Friday! *
