ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
- The Commissioning Area Completion Engineer reporting to Commissioning Mechanical UtilityLead, will be an integral part of PDE Project Team, working collaboratively within the PDEorganization, systems, plans, procedures, and methods.
- The Commissioning Area Completion Engineer is responsible for monitoring the quality ofdiscipline related documentation on design solution and all engineering activities within EPCtowards Commissioning Area Completion disciplines.
- The Commissioning Area Completion Engineer shall ensure that all necessary information to execute commissioning and start-up is made available from all Contractor side.
- Commissioning Area Completion Engineer shall ensure that the completion system (PIMS)has the necessary data available to execute system and sub-system and Area definition, haveP&ID ready for system boundary mark-up, and information available to developcommissioning procedures.
- The Commissioning Area Completion Engineer shall also review all FAT procedure andvendor commissioning procedures related to Area Completion.
- Commissioning Area Completion Engineer shall also review vendor preservation procedures.
- A close relation with Engineering, Construction and MC will be required to ensure alignment on plans and progress.
- Key activities to coordinate will be PFDs/UFDs, P&IDs, boundary drawings, process datasheets, plans, and close follow up of field activities
- Ensure that relevant activities within the discipline are within the company frameworkand in conformance with contract, Yard Execution Plan, and relevant regulations.The health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipmentshall be taken care of.
- Act in accordance with client’s core values and HSE program and be client’srepresentative for the Commissioning discipline performance to ensure thatcommissioning activities are according to plan and executed actively in cooperationwith project team.
- Ensure good cooperation, communication and alignment between the baseorganization and the projectWork with PDE operations team as well as client to ensure clear guidance and clarifications are provided with regards to scope of work definition.
- Work with JV Yard organization,client’s Construction Team and Client to ensurecompliance and verification activities required.
- Participate in the process to establish a Commissioning network in the ProjectCompletion System PIMS CMS as basis for planning and management ofCommissioning activities, participate in meetings, inspections, and tri-party walks.
- Ensure that the Commissioning activities are timely planned and executed.
- Support other disciplines with interfacing commissioning activities
- Coordinate and support Construction and Commissioning interfaces across alldisciplines, including engineering and contractor.
- Act as a driving force for development and implementation of Commissioningactivities for FPSO project.
- Participate in the handover process from Commissioning to Operations for someassigned Mechanical and Utility systems including Area Completion
- Participate in work pack review sessions as well as work packs preparation.Report to Commissioning Mechanical/Utility Lead any delays in progress underhis/her area of responsibility.
- Collaborate closely with other key disciplines in the Engineering Team. Call offassistance from discipline resources.
- Other duties as required by the Commissioning Mechanical/Utility LeadArea Completion includes: General untagged installations, walkways, escape routes,walls, ceilings, floors, hatches, stairs, ladders, platforms, handrails, kickplates, cableladders/trays, Accommodation & Architectural installations, lose safety equipment,Pad eye & Monorails, Fire extinguishers, Utility stations etc.
- Be responsible for onshore commissioning preparations and execution for AreaCompletion activities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical education on Batchelor level or equivalent experience
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience within operation, project execution andCommissioning
- Previous experience from the Client Equinor, for Mechanical and Utility systemsincluding Area Completion is a major advantage.
- Operating experience both from the Norwegian continental shelf and internationalprojects will be considered a strong advantage.
- Relevant experience from Middle Eastern / Southeast Asian shipyards is a majoradvantage.
- Experience in FPSO redeployment is strongly desired
- Recent experience of working in a similar role on UK North Sea projects will be anadvantage.
- Leadership & interpersonal skills applied to a multidisciplined project team.

- English – fluent written and verbal skills
