Description:
Are you a skilled Controls Engineer looking to make an impact in a family-oriented company that values innovation and collaboration? My client is seeking a talented individual to join our team and play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining control systems for our manufacturing operations.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Controls Engineer in a Manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI Development.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control diagrams, and P&IDs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
COMPETENCIES/ SKILLS:
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards related to control systems and automation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement control systems, including PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including electrical schematics, control diagrams, and software programs.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production staff on control systems and automation equipment.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all control system activities.
- Analyze data and generate reports on control system performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Adhere to 5S standards and follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
